Carol Wilson and friends are collaborating to present a delightful variety of piano trios, with both strings and woodwinds.
First Christian Church is presenting a program of chamber music, played by Carol Wilson (piano) and friends Elisa Wicks (violin), Heike Gazetti (clarinet), Phyllis White (flute), Joyce Hanagan (oboe), and Veselka Kuzma & Jenny Yopp (cello).
Featured selections are an elegant and dynamic trio for violin, cello and piano by Ludwig van Beethoven; a whimsical and lovely trio for flute, oboe and piano by Welsh composer Alec Templeton; and a beautiful and deeply moving trio for clarinet, cello and piano by little-known German composer Carl Frühling.
