'Paper Tiger'

'Paper Tiger'

Presented by Cottonwood Center for the Arts at Cottonwood Center for the Arts

The phrase paper tiger means one that is outwardly powerful or dangerous but inwardly weak or ineffectual. With this open call for entries we asked for a transposition of this meaning - works on paper, a simple, well known, and accessible medium - that are fierce, meaningful, soulful, and grab you in your tracks.

How much can the artist say in an instant on paper? How much emotion can they convey, share, and evoke? How much of self and heart can be fit on a sheet of paper?

This call was exclusively for works on paper, of any size and theme. Works were juried in to the show based solely on content and the impact of the artists message.

Show on display during normal business hours through December 25th.
