In this presentation you will be introduced to one of those clues left behind, petroglyphs. We will be looking at ancient rock art images, thoughts on why it was created, what it means to us today.
Years before American settlers came to this part of the world, the Indigenous Peoples of America lived in this area. We have many clues about how they led their lives. In this presentation you will be introduced to one of those clues left behind, petroglyphs.
We will be looking at ancient rock art images, thoughts on why it was created, what it means to us today and gain an appreciation of the value of this irreplaceable resource. There will be a hands-on activity for participants. Presented by the Pikes Peak Chapter of the Colorado Archaeological Society.
Best suited for kids aged 9 - 14. However all ages are welcome!
