3rd Annual Black History Month Dtoty Time

On February 26, 2022, Lil' Miss Story Hour will host their opening community story time event of the 2022 season. We will celebrate Black History Month by honoring and elevating Black history, culture, and heritage through stories,art forms, crafts, special guest artists, and picture books! Explorations include but are not limited to writing, illustrations, mathematics, music, and social experiences.

Book selections will include "Life Doesn't Frighten Me," by Maya Angelou; "Young, Gifted, and Black: Meet 52 Black Heroes from Past & Present," by Jamia Wilson; "I Got the Rhythm," by Connie Schofield-Morrison; and "It All Started in Africa," by Suzanne Bowman Williams.

Our special guests will be photographer and activist, Rachel-Cubi-Riley; DJ and life coach, DJ ChloeBeeBlessed; hip hop dance instructor and choreographer, Ron Jules (the Future of Hip Hop); and vocalist and musician, Alpha the Musical.
