The Bach Celebration Concert will feature concertos, works for solo instruments, and chorales for audience singing.
First Christian Church is presenting their annual Bach Celebration Concert after a hiatus of two years. The program will feature a concerto for two harpsichords, a prelude and fugue for organ, a gamba sonata, a toccata for harpsichord, a concerto for oboe d’amore, and chorales for audience singing.
Masks are suggested for singing, but not mandatory for attendance. The program will also be live-streamed on Facebook.
Works to be performed:
Concerto in C Minor for Two Harpsichords BWV 1062, with Joe Galema and Carol Wilson
Prelude and Fugue in B Minor BWV 544 for organ, played by Joe Galema
Sonata for Viola da Gamba and Harpsichord BWV 1027, with Andy Kolb, cello, and Carol Wilson
Toccata in E Minor for Harpsichord BWV 914, played by Carol Wilson
Concerto for Oboe d’amore BWV 1055, with Amy Goeser Kolb.
String ensemble: Elisa Wicks and James Rasmussen, violin, Michael Sabatka, viola, Andy Kolb, cello.
No admission charge. A free will offering will be taken.
