Presented by Southern Teller County Focus Group at Victor Lowell Thomas Museum

The annual Victor Gem & Mineral Show presented by the Southern Teller County Focus Group (STCFG) in Victor, Colorado will be held June 17-19. The event will be held in downtown historic Victor and is open and free to the public.

The show will include vendors from across the state selling Colorado dug minerals. Items for sale will include polished gems, hand-crafted jewelry, rough slabs, specimens, cabochons, geodes, Cripple Creek turquoise, and more. There will also be gold and gem panning at the Victor Lowell Thomas Museum. Show hours are from 9 to 5 each day. Guided bus tours of the gold mining district and walking tours of the Sunnyside Cemetery will be offered.

A geologist from Newmont CC&V will make a presentation on the geology of the gold mining district. This free presentation will be held Saturday, June 18 at 1 p.m. at the Victor Lowell Thomas Museum. The presentation is free but seating is limited.

In addition, the Victor Lowell Thomas Museum gift shop will be open from 9:30 to 5:30 with its collection of rocks, gems, minerals, rhodochrosite and aquamarine jewelry, geodes and gold panning for the kids. The museum also houses a mineral collection as well as historic mining equipment, photos, and historic displays.
