This event includes a lecture covering the intersection between the energetic map of the chakras and modern concepts in psychology, and concludes with a Restorative Yoga practice for deep relaxation.
The chakra system is essentially a map to support us in navigating the shifts of energy in our physical, emotional, psychological and mental experiences. Wise teachers who are resourced with an understanding of how to read and navigate the chakra map are more empowered to teach transformative, balanced and poignant yoga classes for their students.
During the first portion of this workshop, we will explore how to address and balance the chakras through a path of Restorative Yoga. Then, we will shift to experiencing a Restorative Yoga class centered on chakra awareness and balance. (Please note that some physical enhancements will be offered, but students are welcome to opt out.) This workshop is appropriate for both curious practitioners and yoga teachers.
