First Friday 'After Hours'

First Friday 'After Hours'

Presented by 1350 Distilling at 1350 Distilling

1350 Distilling will host three local artists (including the art of one of our favorite bartenders) in our Private Room for April's First Friday; one is a boozy painter who creates watercolor paintings using wine and whiskey, one is a portrait artist who explores where others won't, and the other artist is a woodworker who creates local scenes using wood as his medium. We will also have a selection of treats and cocktails available for purchase.

Our Artists for April:

Michelle is a portrait artist from Canon City, CO. From a very young age, she has seen what could be the best in people. Her world view of change and progression has led her to explore where others won’t, ask difficult questions when no one else will and never stop in the pursuit of progress. This is what inspires her conceptual portraits of those she has met along the way.

“Q” grew up in Peru learning art from her family. As an adult she lived in Italy where she learned the “art of a good wine” but has always had a deep love of the mountains. Now, a resident of Colorado Springs, she combines her passions of art, wine and mountains using wine and whiskey to create beautiful watercolor paintings.

Robbie is a woodworker who is passionate about the outdoors and creating interesting things; he is known for creating beautiful outdoor scenes from wood, as well as interesting projects using whiskey barrels and other wooden mediums.
