The Colorado College Collegium Musicum ensemble will perform its spring semester concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 8 at Packard Hall.
The group will present a program featuring the “Musical Highs and Lows of Medieval and Renaissance Europe,” under the direction of Nancy Ekberg, with special guest Jeremy Van Hoy.
Collegium Musicum is Colorado College's “old music” ensemble, focusing on classical and dance music from the Renaissance and later. Collegium performs on instruments contemporary to the eras being studied, giving students the opportunity to learn recorders, frame drums, viols and more. The group performs many of its own arrangements, and students play a role in the process of re-creating music that, despite its great age, is not forgotten.
The CC Department of Music suggests, but does not require, that attendees wear a KN95 or similar filtration mask. Visit CC’s Coronavirus Updates & Resources webpage for full information about CC’s Covid-19 policies.
