Manitou Springs Library Lawn Concerts: The Storys

Manitou Springs Library Lawn Concerts: The Storys

Presented by Friends of the Pikes Peak Library District at Manitou Springs Carnegie Library

The fifth concert in our summer lawn concert series features the music of The Storys!

In 2004, The Storys were born. When the couple met two years earlier in their fifties, Bill mainly played guitar on his own. After Bill’s serenades, Nancy picked up the guitar and couldn’t put it down. When they went professional, Bill named the duo The Storys. They wanted to fill the spaces between songs with stories about the artist and other musical fun facts.

Together, they specialize in harmony, singing the magic songs of the 50s, 60s, 70s and more—songs they both are attracted to. Performing Bill’s originals and covering rock and roll, folk, country and a variety of hits from many musical eras with two acoustic-electric guitars and Bill’s harmonica, The Storys have played more than 800 gigs in 18 years. Dancing and singing along have always been encouraged!

This season's concert series will be held outdoors in the lawn of the former Manitou Springs Carnegie Library, located at the southwest corner of Manitou Avenue and Pawnee Avenue.  Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the music of this summer concert series.

In case of inclement weather, concerts will be cancelled.
