Visit the new, larger Jstar Jewelry Designs studio during the celebration to see live jewelry-making demonstrations, learn more about taking a jewelry-making class, and to win prizes!
Jstar Jewelry Designs, located inside Cottonwood Center for the Arts, will hold a re-opening celebration on Friday July 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Jstar Jewelry Designs was founded in 2012 by owner Jessica Rausch, who has grown the business from a “side hustle” – making jewelry on her living room coffee table – into a full-time career with 25+ retail locations across the Rocky Mountain region. The new, larger studio space will continue to offer one-of-a-kind and limited edition gemstone jewelry, costume jewelry repairs, and an opportunity for people to see handmade jewelry in all stages of production, as well as adding space for private and small group jewelry making classes and a “permanent” (welded) jewelry station.
The re-opening celebration will include jewelry-related giveaways (such as resin “gemstone” keychains and jewelry storage pouches), special discounts, and a grand prize drawing for a free permanent bracelet or anklet. Attendees are encouraged to also explore the 2 floors of open studios and galleries inside Cottonwood Center for the Arts, as well as experience the First Friday opening reception for the “Cars and Stripes” exhibition inside the main gallery.
The Jstar Jewelry Designs mission is to make handmade jewelry accessible to more people by using economical materials and simple designs in order to keep the price of most pieces in the $30-50 range (not including permanent jewelry). Typical metals used include brass and nickel-free plated metals, as well as sterling silver and gold-filled chain for permanent jewelry.
