A Colorado-based landscape photographer, Rafael Calderon captures and creates images with the purpose of translating the magic feeling he experiences in his moments exploring and witnessing the beauty of the great outdoors.

“A click of the camera shutter can't really replicate the feeling of being there, therefore as an artist, I use a camera, a computer and my imagination to go beyond simple documentation to translate the feeling of the moment as best I can. I experience immense joy in creating a unique piece of art from a unique moment in time. I feel the beauty of nature connects with us all on a spiritual level. It's that beauty that inspires me to create these works of art to promote joy and peace, either for a brief moment on your screen, or a lifetime in your living space.”

"Painterly edit of the original image. Captured on a June, yes June morning. A bucket list shot for me no doubt. This was the first shot I took. After 2.5 hours of shooting, waiting and hoping the clouds would clear a little more the first shot ended up being the best one."
