‘The Music Man’ is in conjunction with Opera Theatre of the Rockies’ annual Vocal Arts Festival!
Beloved for generations, The Music Man* follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen.
Soprano Solveig Olsen as Marian the Librarian; James Allbritten as Harold Hill. Music by the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs conducted by Thomas Wilson.
*The Music Man is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI, 423 West 55th Street, New York, NY 10019
Tickets start at $25 for adults and $10 for students.
