The Independence Center invites people with disabilities and their community to showcase their artwork in the award-winning Art of Accessibility exhibit on Friday, October 7, 2022.
As part of the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region’s (COPPeR), annual Arts Month celebration, The Independence Center will be a participating art gallery in the 9th annual celebration of Arts Month! The Downtown Partnership’s “First Friday Downtown” on October 7, 2022, will be free and open to the public. The Independence Center will be a hosting gallery for artists with disabilities and their community.
To participate, artists are invited to complete an intent of participation form by Friday, September 9. All art mediums are welcome, to include, but are not limited to, oil paints, watercolors, photography, textiles and fashion, acrylic paints, pencils, pastel, sculpture, etc. The form and complete guidelines can be found at Art of Accessibility - The Independence Center.
