For this year's Arts October highlight we invite you to a soiree of creative observation: Plein Air LIVE! This originative event will take place at the new LUMEN8 Rooftop Social, with astounding views! LUMEN8 is located on top of the SpringHill Suites Hotel.

Soiree details: The event will take place at the new downtown restaurant/bar, LUMEN8 Rooftop Social. The outside rooftop area will showcase Latino artists painting “en plein air”, an ART LIVE performance by Argentine, Diego Arnedo, video mapping installation by Colombian Tito Caicedo and DJ beats by Colombian musician Juanito_Loops while the restaurant will host a live music piano performance and exhibit many different mediums of art by Latinos from our community.

The idea for Hispanic Heritage Month began as a way to promote the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic-Americans — specifically, those whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. It is observed annually from September 15 to October 15. It is a time to appreciate and celebrate the colorful cultures, rich histories, and diversity of the American Latino community. In Colorado Springs, Arts October is filled with special Arts Month programming to create an October calendar that’s rich with amazing local art to see, hear, taste and experience!
