Lil’ Miss Story Hour will host their 1st Annual Fall FUNraiser Concert and Story Time to kick off their Fall FUNraising season as well as October Arts Month!
In the Kids’ Corner, there will be story times throughout the evening. Book selections will include "No Mirrors in my Nana’s House" by Synthia Saint James; "Feel the Beat: Dance Poems that Zing from Salsa to Swing" by Marilyn Singer; and "Harlem’s Little Blackbird" by Renee Watson; and "Oso pardo, oso pardo, que ves ahí" by Bill Martin Jr. & Eric Carle (Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? en español) Additionally, other kid friendly activities will be available in the Kids’ Corner.
On the performance stage, DJ Chloebeblessed will be our MC and DJ for musical performances by Elimence, My Name is Harriet, and Cheerish Martin; a drag show by Porsha DeMarco-Douglas & Alexandre Valentino Skye; and a dance performance by Leona Abdullah-Ward. More performances will include Djembe drumming with Congo Paul, beats with DJ Timmy, and a poetry performance by the Poet Rose Gold. A surprise headliner will close out the concert under a blanket of stars!

Early venue access including artist meet & greet, autographs, photos, merch, and more will be from 1:30pm to 3pm for higher tiered donation levels.
A night vendor market, including food trucks will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The outdoor concert, food trucks, and outdoor vendors will be located in the parking lot next to the venue and is ADA accessible. The indoor vendors will be located on the second floor of the venue. Restrooms are located on the second floor of the venue. The indoor market is not wheelchair accessible. ADA accessible metered street parking is available very near the venue.
