Enjoy an evening-length contemporary dance performance by three PPSC dance artist alumni as a part of a part of the inaugural Incubator Residency Project!
Selected to be a part of the inaugural Incubator Residency Project, three Pikes Peak State College (PPSC) alumni dance artists (Kaitlyn Bertrand, David Foster, & Ashley Shute) come together to choreograph and perform in an evening length contemporary dance performance. The Incubator Residency Project, started in 2022, is designed to support emerging PPSC alum/community artists by providing studio space for creative investigation and performance.
Collaborating to create reVERB, a resonating effect that can be felt throughout the evenings’ works; these professional emerging artists explore disorder and the emotional journey that is felt while trying to grasp onto differing relationships and structure. Intriguing gesture meets robust athleticism in a free, multi-media performance that is engaging, entertaining, and thought-provoking.
Kaitlyn Bertrand, graduated PPSC in 2021 and is currently a dance and modern languages major at Metro State University in Denver. Bertrand also currently dances and teaches at Ormao Dance Company in Colorado Springs.
David Foster, left the PPSC dance program in 2013 and received his BA in Visual & Performing Arts from UCCS in 2020. Foster currently teaches and dances for Ormao Dance Company in Colorado Springs. He also can be found behind the scenes working on light design and editing video.
Ashley Shute, left the PPSC dance program in 2013 and received her BA in Dance from Colorado State University in 2017. Shute currently works as the Ormao Dance School Director, as well as teaches and performs with the Ormao Dance Company. She currently is also a Dance faculty member at PPSC.
