“And Justice for All” is a free human trafficking awareness event that will educate and challenge you to find solutions to end trafficking.
“And Justice for All” will explore the impact of legislative changes over the past 15 years that the task force has held symposiums. The day will begin with Human Trafficking in Colorado by Kara Napolitano, Research and Training Manager at the Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking (LCHT) who has delivered anti-trafficking training to thousands in professional groups and diverse community audiences across Colorado. Jennisue Jessen, human trafficking survivor, NGO founder, and member of the US Advisory Council on Human Trafficking, and Christian Gardner-Wood, chair of the Colorado Human Trafficking Council and a Chief Deputy District Attorney for the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office will examine progress made over the past decade and a half, and laws and policies needed in the future. Local law enforcement efforts will be addressed by Lt. Alan Van’t Land, Gold Hill Division, former supervisor of the Metro Vice Unit, Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
