'23:59:' A Collection of Short Plays Addressing the Climate Crisis

Presented by Colorado College Drama and Dance Department at Norberg Studio, Cornerstone Arts Center, Colorado College

The cosmic calendar according to cosmologist, Carl Sagan compresses the last 14 billion years into a single calendar year.

If the Big Bang took place on January 1 at midnight, the current moment maps onto the end of December 31 just before midnight -- 23:59; our current place on the “cosmic calendar.”

Mónica Sánchez directs a collection of seven plays by diverse playwrights from across the country with seven student actors in a production dedicated to using recycled, upcycled, found, and previously owned materials as the scenic and costume design elements for this production.
