Beginning and intermediate Japanese flower arranging presented by the Sheppard Arts Institute.
This Ikebana workshop develops both introductory and intermediate level.
Japanese flower arranging skills. You will learn how to arrange flowers using the basic forms of the Sogetsu Ikebana school. You will also express your creativity using a variety of plant materials in free style arrangements.
Let your creativity blossom!
Materials to bring to the workshop:
1. Two Ikebana Vases – A Low, Flat container with rim to hold water (Moribana Container) and a Tall Cylinder vase (Nageire container), or suitable substitute
2. Kenzan/Ikebana Frog (3” or 3 ½\") – This can be purchased on line
3. Ikebana Scissors, or Gardening Clippers
4. Small Bowl - to cut stems in water (Cool Whip Tub works)
5. Wash Cloth size Towel
6. Bucket (to hold Flowers in)
7. Trash bag to protect your work space
The cost of the workshop is $135.00 plus $45.00 for plant materials.
