This class is for the true beginner. No prior experience is needed. Whether you have never painted or are just getting started, this acrylic painting introduction is just for you! You will learn how to prep your canvas, use drawing techniques, as well as an introduction to color theory, value scales, planning your layout, how to use references, and how to add a light source in your paintings. Participants will learn mixing techniques, layering affects, and how to channel their natural style. No previous knowledge is necessary because you will be taken step by step through the joyful painting process. We will build confidence in your painting skills through painting smaller pieces before tackling a final project.

3. US Artist Supply 8”x8” professional artist quality acid free canvas panel boards, 5 pack $8

5. Plastic water cup (no glass so don’t have to worry about dropping)
