Come see the ‘Green Comet’ or ‘Neanderthal Comet’ you’ve been seeing in the news at Star Light Observatory.
The Star Light Observatory with it's 10" Maksutov-Newtonian Telescope will be trained on Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF), nicknamed the Green Comet or Neanderthal Comet (as it last flew past Earth approx. 50,000 years ago).
Come out to see the comet that's been on the news and won't be seen for another 50,000 years.
The Observatory is located on the campus of Trailblazer Elementary School at:
2015 Wickes Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80919
Park in the parking lot in front of the school. Then, walk around to back of the school to the Observatory.
Dress warm and walk carefully as there may still be snow/ice on the ground.
