A fundraiser to assist a family in need as well as the Ronald McDonald House in two locations.

My friends' daughter recently went into labor at 23 weeks (oct 21, 2022), giving birth to baby Maddie, 1.2lbs! She was born on the big island in Hawaii but due to the uniqueness of the birth she was quickly flown to Oahu for NICU support for baby Maddie.

The Ronald McDonald house offered a room for rent as mom (Samantha) wasn’t able to stay with her newborn at the hospital and doesn’t reside on the same island. That being said, the family now is burdened not only with having an extreme preemie but being on different islands. As you can imagine, bills are piling-up, their obligations at home have been shelved and jobs put on the back burner.

Dad, Ikua, works at the resort in Moanalea and was given a week off to be at the babies side but he had to quickly return to work. They’re now flying back and forth from home to Oahu to be with their newborn.

I’ve come up with a fundraiser to benefit both the Purdy family, Ronald McDonald house of Southern Colorado and the Ronald McDonald house of Hawaii. We’re calling it From Hearts To Hope.

Let’s come together have have an amazing time for a good cause!
