Join Lil’ Miss Story Hour as we celebrate and elevate the Asian American, Native Hawai’ian, and Pacific Islander communities in our city!
On Monday, May 29, 2023, Lil' Miss Story Hour will host their 4th Annual AANHPI Story Time & Vendor Market! We will celebrate Asian-American/Native Hawai'ian and Pacific Islander Month by honoring and elevating AANHPI history, culture, and heritage through stories, art forms, crafts, special guest artists, and picture books! Explorations include but are not limited to writing, illustrations, mathematics, music, and social experiences.
Story time book selections will include "Eyes That Kiss in the Corners" by Joanna Ho; "Cora Cooks Pancit" by Donna K. Lazo Gilmore; and "Hush, A Thai Lullaby" by Minfong Ho. Special guests will be Filipino DJ Timmy, Korean visual artist, Jooniper Carrerra, Classical Indian dancer and instructor, Tejas Hemsell, and Box State Rootz, whose band members hail from the Philippines, Hawai’i, and Samoa!
An AANHPI vendor market will be open from 12pm to 3pm.
