Ormao Dance Company will host a large-scale, site-specific adventure dance performance featuring professional dancers from the company and community members for a performance that unfolds and explodes, dips and dives, struts and surprises its way down E Vermijo Ave and ends at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum.
Designed as a Saturday afternoon stroll from the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum to the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum with performances emerging along the way, this all-ages friendly dance performance unfolds like a live film before your eyes and explores themes of winning vs losing, play vs competition, and how to pay attention to all the beautiful details in between.
Choreographed by international artist Stephanie Miracle in collaboration with Ormao company dancers and community participants. Also featuring music by composer and musician Glen Whitehead from his new release ‘Pale Blue’.
Choreographer: Stephanie Miracle
Dancers: Mary Ripper Baker, Britt Ford, Caleb Hall, Aoi Koenig, Ashley Oswald, Tiffany Tinsley Weeks, and AJ Winkler
