The hunt for the hairy, smelly beast will take place on the North side of Pikes Peak, along the Crow Gulch/Mount Esther trail. Pre-registered participants will get a chance to win local 719 prizes. 100% of registration proceeds go to the non-profit group ‘Friends of the Peak’.
The Friends Of The Peak (FOTP) website has a button for donating funds to their cause, but where’s the fun in that?
This is a laid back, go as you please, event which entails a search for the mighty but semi-accessible.
For the price of a burger and a couple of pints, you can help FOTP in a more “interactive” way.
Insert one of the great mysteries of the Pikes Peak region: Bigfoot.
So for one day, there will be a benefit hike.
The goal is to find and make contact with Bigfoot (clues upon registration) to win awesome, non-cringy prizes. Think of it as Easter egg hunt, Where’s Waldo, geocaching, but with a hairy twist.
The loot is as follows: 1st prize: $175 worth of local merch; 2nd, $100 of local merch; 3rd, $50 of local merch.
All hike-and-hunt registrations include a grab bag of goodies from local merchants.
Same prices as last year...and the year before that!
Also new for 2023. Search for 'other things' along the trail beside Bigfoot and get even more loot.
