Carlos Salazar Arenas and Danielle Park art show

Carlos Salazar Arenas and Danielle Park art show

Presented by 45 Degree Gallery at 45 Degree Gallery

We will be featuring two Colorado artists.

Painter Carlos Salazar Arenas captures the human experience in a monochromatic hues.

Danielle Park is a glass blower that will debut her largest & most colorful collection of pumpkins.

Both artists will be present at the event and will have new collections to share with you.

Carlos Salazar Arenas transfers his environment, sometimes complex, sometimes simple, to canvas.

His work is the plastic conversion of an omnipresent fierceness that provokes, by contrast, tenderness, complicity, and even irony.

If the media content is commonplace, from a recognized material, a distancing when composing on the unusual plane and always novelty of the canvas the synthesis of a disturbing reality.

Color, stain, and even calligraphy are at the service of that intention of estrangement to allow the viewer a spaced judgment and the gain of objectivity in front of the topics that it deals with.

The work of Salazar Arenas implies office and testimony but, above all, It is a heart-rending cry that highlights the dizzying reality in which we live in today’s world. – Fernando Toledo

Danielle Park first discovered glass while pursuing a BFA degree at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Upon graduation, she moved to the Front Range of beautiful Colorado.

Over the years she did kiln formed glass as a hobby in her home studio in Colorado Springs.

In 2015, Danielle moved to Salida, CO and was fortunate enough to find a job working with a custom light glass blower by the name of Brice Turnbull.

Working with Brice gave her the opportunity to blow glass again which is helping her turn her hobby into a business.
