October is Arts Month, but it’s Arts Month every month at the Manitou Art Center! Our October First Friday Artwalk is a big one! We’ll have a brand-new show in the Hagnauer and First Amendment Galleries, as well as a kickoff for the Big Loud Silent Auction, our signature fundraiser!
This signature fundraiser will feature a very festive First Friday kickoff as well as a cocktail party “closing” event the following Friday, October 13, from 5:30-7:30 pm.
Art lovers can register at https://new.biddingowl.com/2023BLSA to begin bidding! The closing party will feature a special live auction, a variety of auction baskets, and MAC swag to purchase.
Don Goede III will curate “Manitou—The Art of the Great Spirit”, a show celebrating local artists from Manitou Springs, in the Hagnauer Gallery.
A new show of local and regional artists will also be up in the First Amendment Gallery.
Guitarist Michael Reese will be entertaining First Friday Artwalk patrons in the Courtyard!
The Moonlight Market will be set up in the parking lot, with several local artisans offering original art, food, jewelry, etc.
