Gallery of Living Art

Presented by First Lutheran Church at First Lutheran Church

The Gallery of Living Art tells the story of Christ's Passion and Resurrection through life-sized reproductions of sacred works of art staged in the Sanctuary with narrative scripture and music sung by First Lutheran's choir.

Each painting or sculpture is as close in representation as possible to the original work of art.

The Gallery of Living Art began in 1995 with one presentation that included five sacred works of art.

Twenty-five years later the Gallery of Living Art has expanded to 14 sacred works of art that includes The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci, Christ in Gethsemane by Heinrich Hofmann and Michelangelo's Pieta.

Close to 200 people are involved as cast, volunteers and choir.

Four presentations are offered to the community over a weekend usually in March during the Lenten season.

The Gallery of Living Art is not only a presentation, but a worshipful experience you will never forget.

It is free and the public is cordially invited to attend.
