'The Wind is Us: The Death That Killed Capote'

'The Wind is Us: The Death That Killed Capote'

Presented by Funky Little Theater Company at Funky Little Theater Company

Introducing Funky’s new TWO-SHOW DAY SERIES!

Selection of unique offerings to our community.

Some explore historical figures, some venture into literature and some are site specific but all live in the realm of theatre.

Two performances.

One matinee show.

One evening show.

That’s it.

Done.

Colorado playwright Mike Broemmel is first up with a one-man show that explores the life of Truman Capote.

Witness the journey from his days researching his iconic “non-fiction novel” In Cold Blood until his death in 1984.

The play reveals how and why Capote’s life collapsed because of his most-acclaimed work.

Colorado actor Eddie Schumacher will bring Capote to life here on the Westside in April.

Funky is hosting this touring production that has been commissioned and brought to life by Colorado TINTS (Theatre in Non Traditional Spaces) and Denver Arts & Venues through the ARPA Cultural Partnership Activation Program.

Other titles this season include Broemmel's THE HOURS OF ANNE: THE FINAL DAY IN THE LIFE OF ANNE BOLEYN (July 27), THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW (an encore performance of John Minigan's one man adaptation, Oct 19), GIVE 'EM HELL, HARRY (featuring Funky's Patrick Neill as Harry S. Truman, Nov 2), and the return of one of our favorite theatre events, THE PLAY CRAWL (Oct 12).
