This summer, take a tour of the National Museum of World War II Aviation.
Special summer tours for youth ages 6-13 until August 27, 2016. Tour material is age appropriate for the youth, but designed to be an experience of the museum shared with the adults that bring them. The tour provides basic information about World War II, aviation concepts and aircraft restoration. Tours start promptly at 11 AM and last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. After the tour youth and their families can revisit items of interest, ask more questions and sit in the cockpit of an N3N biplane. Purchase tickets on line for discounts.
The National Museum of World War II Aviation is located on an active airfield and includes tours of its workshops and aircraft restoration facilities. For safety and convenience, all guests are escorted through the museum by docents who are experts in World War II aviation history. At the end of each docent-led tour, visitors are permitted to re-enter the main exhibit hall and view the historical displays and artifacts at their leisure.
