3 Pikes Peak Authors Share

Presented by Pikes Peak Authors at PPLD -Library 21c

How does a woman cope—when a devastating mental illness strikes, or when the phone rings and you learn that your entire family has died? How does a woman survive when her whole world is turned upside down? Some women write a book, hoping to inspire others to navigate a similar tragedy.

Three Pikes Peak area authors, Nancy Saltzman, Kathy Brandt, and Sharon Gerdes used their adversity as a springboard for activism. These women have teamed up to offer an afternoon of storytelling and inspiration, sharing qualities of resilience that allowed them to turn their lemons into lemonade. The event will be held on Sunday, March 29, from 2-4 p.m., at the 21c Library, 1175 Chapel Hills Drive.

Authors have been active as volunteers with National Alliance for Mental Illness, Postpartum Support International, and Soaring Spirits International.
