A side-splitting Western melodrama where our heroine, Precious Delight, has traveled from England with her Aunt Ima Delight to claim the Buffalo Chips ranch.
The Iron Springs Chateau presents its first show of 2018, “A Precious Bit of the West…or…She Was Simply a Delight!” which opens on Friday, February 9.
This show, written by local actor and playwright Vicki Kelly, is a side splitting western melodrama where our heroine, Precious Delight, has traveled from England with her Aunt Ima Delight to claim the Buffalo Chips ranch, which she inherited from her uncle.
The evil Ralph Rancid, though, intends for the Buffalo Chips Ranch to become part of his spread, and will stop at nothing to make sure he gets it. Can Harry Hotline, the editor of the local paper, and his best friend Grizzly Jack help Precious and her Aunt Ima stake their claim before the Buffalo Chips Ranch goes up for auction?
The melodrama is followed by a sing-along intermission and a Mardi Gras themed Vaudeville style musical revue that will keep you laughing with songs, dances, jokes and crazy costumes! It’s a blast for the whole family! The show runs through August 11.
The show is directed by Rebekah Ratterree, musical direction by Bruce Littrell and Bonnie Hausknecht, costumes by Stephanie Bradley and choreography by Daisya Dowen and Rebekah Ratterree.
The Iron Springs Chateau has been bringing family-friendly entertainment to the Pikes Peak Region for over 50 years, and is a great way to spend the evening... whether for the entire family or a memorable date night.
