This years Veterans Day Parade will be held on the 3rd of November on Tejon St. in Downtown Colorado Springs.
The theme for this year is "Celebrating 100 years Armistice/Veterans Day." This theme will be highlighted by the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI. On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918. WWI came to an end with armistice. It wasn't until 1938 in the aftermath of WWII and the Korean war that November 11th became a federal holiday in the United States. Armistice legally became known as Veterans day.

Additional time info:
Twenty years ago a small group of patriotic volunteers formed a non-profit organization to host an annual Colorado Springs Veterans Day Parade. Their mission was simple: To recognize local veterans by hosting a first-class parade in their honor. For the first time ever the parade was canceled last year due to the pandemic. We are confident that the 2021 parade will go on this year and have chosen as our theme "The Greatest Generation."
Past parade themes have been The Purple Heart; Total Force: Active, Guard and Reserve; Veterans, Diverse and Determined; and Pearl Harbor - 70 Years In Remembrance. The parade is a representation of the military installations in Colorado Springs and the many military groups that support these soldiers. As the participant registrations come in this year we are amazed at the number of entrants that have been participating since the beginning of the parade. The draws approximately 40,000 spectators that cheer and salute the veterans in the parade.
