Blade of Grass

Blade of Grass was originally installed at the newly constructed Monument Town Hall as part of the first ARTSites exhibit. It was created by sculptor Louis de Angelus who has followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, a renowned sculptor in Italy. The soaring symmetry of the Silverdale Limestone piece was a gift to the Town by the artist and was moved from Town Hall to become the first installation in the Monument Rock Sculpture Park at Big Red. The pedestal on which it is mounted was sponsored by local Realtor, John Dworak, in memory of his deceased son in law, Scott Konarski.
