Energy Resource Center

This mural, on the east wall of the Energy Resource Center (ERC) building, was created in 2017, as a joint effort of Fuse, Concrete Couch, and approximately 70 community volunteers including a large group of students from Air Academy High School, to illustrate the mission of the ERC.

The ERC is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Colorado families keep their homes safe, warm and energy efficient. ERC offers free services for income-qualified households and paid services to support their non-profit efforts. The mural includes the sun at the left using ceramic and metal elements, painted representation of solar panels in lower center, metal pieces depicting the city of Colorado Springs and wind mills in upper center, and an electric light bulb at the right. One red metal door from Fuse’s studio was recycled as a turbine blade. See additional photos below for mural details. (Source: conversation with the artists and ERC website)
