Figures Symbolizing the Arts

This series of five different aspects of the arts, from left to right: sculpture, theatre, dance, music and painting, was painted by Boardman Robinson in 1936 over the entrance to the newly constructed Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. Robinson taught art at Fountain Valley School and the Broadmoor Art Academy (the precursor to the Fine Art Center). These frescos were restored in 1985-86 by Eric Bransby using Keim’s Mineral Colors.
