In 2016, a photo of Morgan Bak’s painting “More Like 10 O’clock Shadow” was converted to a vinyl wrap and permanently installed on the traffic control box on the corner of Cascade Ave and Colorado Ave in downtown Colorado Springs. The painting was initially painted onto multiple panels of MDF board.
Much of Morgan’s art incorporates themes of community, interactions between unique individuals and a general study of crowd dynamics. Her illustrations generally focus on the quirks that get buried in everyday interactions. Morgan believes that the most valuable moments are the small, unexpected ones – the moments that reveal the most about a person’s character.
