Mosaic Monument to Military Service

This ceramic mural was designed and created in 2014 by Concrete Couch and students from the UCCS (University of Colorado at Colorado Springs) Student Veterans Organization, and the UCCS Office of Veteran & Military Student Affairs, with the support of the UCCS Student Government Association. The mosaic serves as a monument to the service and sacrifice of our nation’s military members and veterans. The three panels portray the process of transition out of the military, into the academic environment, and into the world of possibilities and graduation. The Student Veterans Organization’s motto, “We’re Not Done Yet!”, exemplifies how UCCS student veterans hold service and commitment to each other as core values for improving the communities in which they live. The mural is located on the north side of the UCCS pedestrian spine just west of Berger Hall. (Source: dedication plaque)
