This mural was painted by Kim Polomka in 2006 to publicize the city-wide year-long celebration of Mozart’s 250th birthday. The celebration was organized by long time Mozart fans Dick and Mary Kay Carlson. Although not currently operational, the original mural played Mozart music. The “Venetian” red used in the mural is a very light paint and required three coats of paint over the primer. A limited number of colors were used to make the mural easy to restore if needed.
