Sleeping Giant

This 50’ long mural was created in 2012 by Concrete Couch and Summer Community Art and Mural Program (SCAMP) participants. It is located under the bridge at Pikes Peak and Shooks Run Trail. The goal of SCAMP is to beautify parks, create art benches, paint murals and much, much more. Every year SCAMP schedules different projects across a twelve week period and every project is fun, artsy, socially responsible and guaranteed to make participants feel better about their community and their fellow humans. Part of the reason that the City of Colorado Springs supports the creation of murals it to reduce the use of graffiti.
