Although he has an open book next to him, the young boy in artist Betty Sabo’s life-size bronze sculpture hardly seems engaged in his schoolwork. Instead, he sits looking wistfully off into the distance.
Having established her reputation as an oil painter early in her career, Sabo dove into bronze sculpting in her mid-60s and has since had work commissioned throughout New Mexico and the United States.
