US Olympic Committee Mural

This 300’x 45’ mural was completed in 2011 by Kim Polomka. It celebrates Colorado Springs as the proud home of the United States Olympic Committee’s (USOC) new headquarters and the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center. The mural features US Olympic Freestyle Wrestler, Henry Cejudo, who won a Gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. A graduate of Palmer High School, Henry was the youngest Olympic wrestling champion in U.S. history. The design was created by Vladimir Jones Advertising Agency. The roof surface is corrugated steel and very difficult to work on. This mural was meant to last only one year. It received worldwide coverage. See below for additional photo.
