Bear Creek Nature Center

Bear Creek Nature Center features state-of-the-art, hands-on exhibits. An observation beehive, foothills wildlife diorama and touch screens are just a few of the exhibits to enjoy. Step outside the door and walk the foothills, search for mule deer, and discover Bear Creek! Interpretive programs, special events, guided tours and student art shows are provided throughout the year.

Children entering 1st – 5th grades will have the opportunity to learn all about wildlife in the area, make cool crafts, hike nature trails, look for critters in the meadow and splash in the creek.

We will see and touch the Great Unconformity and hear about the Cambrian and Ordovician time periods and about evolutionary events for extinct arthropods, the trilobites. Afterwards, stay for a BYO picnic lunch. Bring the family!
