Independence Center

Working with people with disabilities, their families, and the community, the Independence Center creates self reliance so they can thrive.

The Independence Center (The IC) was founded by and for people with disabilities. The Center believes that people with disabilities have the right to make informed decisions about how and where they want to live. To that end, The IC provides a variety of services aimed at empowering people with disabilities to maintain their independence within the community. Primary services include Peer Support, Advocacy, Independent Living Skills Training and Information and Referral.
