The interior of this climbing room was painted by Corbin Hillam in 2013 in the CityROCK Climbing Center’s remodeled this 2nd floor area for children.
The theme of the room is being in the sea. A “tessellation” of fish is shown in the main wall. A “tessellation” is an arrangement of shapes closely fitted together, especially of polygons in a repeated pattern without gaps or overlapping. The ceiling shows the underside of a boat and large fish giving the impression of being under water. See additional photos below. (Source: interview with the artist)
