The two building walls and one retaining wall of the “old Gazette Buildings” at 739 E Pikes Peak Ave are managed by Fuse, a local artist. These murals were painted in 2015 by Fuse and friends.
The term graffiti is used for the highly stylized lettering of an artist’s street name, called a tag, typically painted using aerosol spray paint. Graffiti art is the term used when pictorial representation is added to the work.
The retaining wall includes tags for: Ther from Denver, Fuse, and two other tags. The west wall of the building includes tags for: a tag by Kink from Denver, a tag by Kovet from Denver, and two additional tags. See additional photos below. (Source: Conversation with the artist)
