Pete Schuermann

Pete Schuermann has been making movies since he was 19, starting inauspiciously enough with (semi) feature/parody "Hick Trek: the Moovie", released to home video in 1999. Born on Long Island, Pete has lived in Colorado Springs since 1987 and has continued making short films and features traveling here and there but always rooted firmly here in this wonderful town. 2005 brought a wonderful experience when he was nabbed to co-direct and edit Disney’s "Disneyland: Secrets, Stories and Magic" available on Disney Home Video. Most recently the documentary HAZE, to which Pete served as director and co-editor, has been accepted into numerous film festivals including AFI Dallas, Newport Beach and Hamptons. Though the experience of making HAZE was a good one, and certainly the most rewarding on an acceptance level, Pete still loves the more wild and crazy forms of cinema. The feature Alice in Wasteland and his short film Evil Brain from Planet X were both reviewed enthusastically in our local Gazette and Independent (thank you guys). More film work will be seen soon with short films, music videos and features in the works. In the meantime, Pete enjoys working on commercial production with his partner Rob Watt of Watt Imagination!
