Susan Tormoen

Susan Tormoen is a watercolor, pastel, and oil paint artist. Susan has become reacquainted with and added new mediums to her techniques throughout her artistic career.

Susan’s education is in philosophy from Lake Forest College. Early on, when she was finishing her studies as a young mother, I took a few art classes.

For years, Susan concentrated on watercolor. After moving from Wisconsin to Colorado, she became enamored with pastel. It was then that this new technique spontaneity became characteristic of her style. Susan loves color and the way it is possible with the stroke of a pastel stick. Susan also experiments with oil throughout her work.
