Ways You Can Help Protect the Earth Locally

Volunteer for, or donate to, conservation organizations such as the Rocky Mountain Field Institute, the Trails and Open Space Coalition, or the Colorado Springs Food Rescue.

If you are able, ride a bike, walk, or carpool to work. National Bike Month is in May, Colorado Bike Month is June, and Annual Bike to Work Day is May 22.

Plant a garden or grow small herbs in your kitchen. Pikes Peak Urban Gardens is an independent non-profit that was established back in 2007 and
since then has been dedicated to growing, and teaching how to grow fresh, organic food locally.
